Find the Glimmer Behind the Gloom!

Having hard days, guys? Or maybe you used to have?
We all know that everyone can't be spared from problem, hard times, even misery--not every single day, though.

To be honest, I used to have chains of grief. Yeah, it hit me so badly that I shed my tears every time I recall it. But, no one even know how I felt, until now. An obstacle came, and another did too before I could stand upright. And, FYI, they were things I can't spill to anybody. Consequently, everyone assumes I'm flying high to the sky, whereas I actually hit the ground. It's no biggie for me, as long as I'm still able to find my bliss.

Well, they aren't a big problem anymore. I finally can see the glimmer behind the gloom. I mean, there'll be positive things coming after those obstacles. I'm now in a stage of spotting the glimmer. Later, I'm sure the glimmer will be shown up thoroughly, resulting glare :D

Guys, one thing you must avoid when you're having hard times: don't ever blame The God Almighty. Allah SWT always prepares a far magnificent plan for our future behind the hard test of life. Remember, Allah will never give us test and ordeal out of our ability. Besides, God's test is another name for His blessing toward us. Just don't forget to praise Him all your day, and always be positive thinking! That way you'll get rid of your dark cloud.

Ready to find the shine behind the nimbus? You got to be! ;)

Report Text: Trees

15:30 Nala Mazia 2 Comments

Tree is a tall plant that has complete structures, such as root, stem, branches, twigs, leaves, flowers, and also fruits.

Commonly, tree grows on the ground. Inside the ground, there are water, mineral, and dissolved materials.

We can also find the most important part of tree, in the ground. this part is called root. There are two kinds of root that have different size and function. The first is tap root, and the second is fibrous root. Tap root has big size, and it grows downward. The function is to hold the plant in upright position against the strong wind. While fibrous root is tiny, like hair and fiber and it grows outward. Although the size is very small, fibrous root has important role. It's used to absorb water, mineral, and dissolved materials which are needed by the tree to grow.

The part of tree that's connected directly to root is trunk or stem. Trunk is protected and covered by tough material called bark. Trunk also plays important roles for the tree. The function is to conduct water, mineral, and dissolved materials from root to leaves through a tissue called xylem. While to conduct the result  of photosynthesis process from leaves to entire part of tree is done through phloem. Even in several kinds of tree such as sugar cane and sago, trunk is used for food storage.

There are small trunks called branches on the trunk. Branches are the place where twigs are found. Twigs are also stem, but it's the smallest stem. The function is as the place of flowers, shoot, and fruits to grow.

One more important part of tree, that is leaves. Generally, the color of leaves is green because they contain chlorophyll. Leaves have two functions. The first is to make food through photosynthesis process. To do this process, leaves need water and carbon dioxide with the help of sunlight. As the result, there are amylum and oxygen. The second function is to reduce air pollution, because leaves inhale carbon dioxide from the air and exhale oxygen to the air. In this case, purification process occurs. This function can be felt directly by human.

Tree has beautiful part. That's flower. Flower is a part of tree that has various colors. It consists of anther, petals, sepals, stalk, and bud. Anther is part of flower that can do pollination with the help of insects, wind, or human. To attract insects, flower has petals, because petals have various colors and shape, and also give off fragrant smell. To support petals, there is sepal or calyx. While to support the whole parts of flower is stalk or stem of flower. The closed flower before it blossoms is called bud. In several kinds of plant, such as roses and orange, we can find the another part called thorn or sharp-pointed shoot, that grows on the stalk.

The last part of tree is fruit. Fruit also has stalk to support the whole fruit. Commonly, fruit can be eaten. The part to be eaten is flesh or the meat of fruit. Fruit is covered by peel, to protect the flesh from dirt. Like human and animal, tree needs to breed. The part that can produce new plant is seed. The seeds that have big size are called stones. If we plant seeds in the ground, they will grow into new plants.

I can say that it was difficult enough for me to find the easy batik pattern from Sumatera. So, I ended up browsing Sumatera ornament. Finally, I found this ornament, ornament of Siwaluh Jabu custom home, from Batak Karo, Sumatera.
For this task, I got better score than before :D
Well, that's what I can say. I hope this help you even a little. Oh, and don't forget to explore other cultures of Indonesia! We have a lot of creations which aren't well-explored yet!

This is batik motive from Yogyakarta, Indonesia. I drew it to accomplish art assignment. My artwork doesn't exactly resemble to the original motive, 'cause I'm not expert in drawing. Well, more or less it's the same :D
This batik is usually worn by wise people. But, it doesn't mean only the wise ones can wear this.
Oh, and.... don't look at the score below the motive, beside my identity! :P

By doing this assignment, I know one more batik motive and I can draw it even though I drew it imperfectly. And now I share to you guys what I got. After seeing my artwork, you should check the original motive. The original one is more incredible than this. Hope you like it... :)

The Outstanding Power of Mother

21:38 Nala Mazia 0 Comments

Recently, I read a meaningful book titled The Great Power of Mother. Actually, the book had been lined up in single file in my house for years, but I just read it as my Indonesian teacher gave me assignment dealing with books. Hm, I could grab the fiction one, nevertheless, my brain told me to choose nonfiction book. After reading this book, there's no regret I found. This book had opened my mind even larger. Here I share what I got from this book.

Being dutiful to our parents is an obligation. But, it's not just an obligation, it can be interpreted as faith expression, evidence of love, form of obedience, future investment, and also scheming a happy reunion in the heaven. That's why, this should always be done whether when our parents are still alive or when they've gone. From this kind of dutiful, we'll get the incredible power of mother: efficacious prayer, and blessing that accompanies our steps.

You know, there's no disadvantage of being dutiful to them. On the contrary, we'll get many advantages. Besides, parent's approval is God's approval. Um... you wanna be successful person, don't you? So, you must work hard and pray intensively. One of the efforts is being dutiful to your mom. Once your mom pray for you, don't underestimate it, it'll be granted for sure. You're gonna be successful by your mom's prayer. Nevertheless, you must be dutiful to her first, or else it's not gonna work.

See? Mother is very precious. Napoleon Bonaparte used to be interviewed, "Which one is the strongest fort in France?" He answered, "The good mothers."
Yeah, good mothers means mothers who educate their children well. This kind of mother will spawn great generation. For example, Khalid bin Walid. You know him? Exactly, he's legendary Islamic hero who was known as  the swordsman. His legendary sword was nothing without Khalid. But, there was someone who's greater than him, behind his greatness. Yup, his mother. She is The Woman Behind The Gun, there are great women behind the great heroes.

"Heroes are the ones who are able to dig great potency from their house, from their mother."
Mothers, they're school before school. A mom is the school for her children and education of love for the heroes at once.

So, what are you waiting for? Meet your mom, apologize to her, and promise to obey her. Build good relationship, and get ready for bright future! Get motivated! :D

Day of Pink, More Than A Meaningful Day

21:47 Nala Mazia 0 Comments

What comes to your mind when you hear this word; PINK? It's identical to baby, child, girl... Even there are some people out there hate this color. I really don't understand why they hate this sweet color. I mean, what had "pink" done to them? FYI, from my point of view, pink is a sign for positive things. Here is the proof.

DAY OF PINK

is the International Day against Bullying, Discrimination, Homophobia and Transphobia in schools and communities. Everyone celebrates diversity by wearing a pink shirt and by organizing activities in their workplaces, organizations, communities and schools.

Day of Pink is a day of action, created when a youth in a high school in Cambridge, Nova Scotia was bullied because he wore a pink shirt to school. His fellow peers decided to stand up to this bullying, and hundreds of students came to school wearing pink to show support for diversity and stopping discrimination, gender-bullying and homophobia.

This day was born as the initiative of Canada's Youth Diversity, and shared to the world as the international Day of Pink. It takes place every April 14th.
See? Pink is full of positive! You have no reason to hate this color. If you don't like it, just neglect it, but don't hate it. Deal? ;)

Rosy Maple Moth

18:06 Nala Mazia 0 Comments

I just found this kind of lil creature. I never find it in Indonesia. Yup, of course! This is a Maple moth, which clearly can't be found in Indonesia.. ^^

The Rosy Maple Moth (Dryocampa rubicunda) is a North American moth in the Saturniidae family. Males have a wingspan of 32–44 mm; females of 40–50 mm. They have reddish-to-pink legs and antennae, yellow bodies and hindwings, and pink forewings with a triangular yellow band across the middle. Males have bushier antennae than females. As the name implies, rosy maple moths mainly feed on Maples, particularly Red Maple, Silver Maple, and Sugar Maple. Sometimes these moths become pests on maple trees.

Well, I post it 'coz this moth related to two things I like; Maple tree, and pink color, of course! :D
